Bayhug started with one simple idea: a giant plush friend can change a kid's day. Sometimes that's a birthday party. Sometimes it's a hospital room.
Our Journey
We are a local couple building our professional careers in the Bay Area, but our hearts found a different calling through a stroke of Halloween magic.
It all began when we created a custom-made costume for a Halloween event. We didn't expect much, but the moment we stepped out, something incredible happened. Children didn't just wave — they were practically racing over to give us hugs. Parents came up to us with tears of joy, thanking us for the pure happiness we brought to their little ones.
But it wasn't just the kids. We saw smiles break out on the faces of busy parents, stressed event staff, and passersby of all ages. In that moment, we realized that a simple hug from a “giant friend” has a unique power to bring people together and share love and care in its purest form.
Our Mission
That Halloween changed everything for us. We realized that spreading joy shouldn't be limited to one night a year.
Bayhug was born from that spark of inspiration. We are here to create core memories at your special events, to offer comfort where it's needed most, and to ensure that no matter how busy life in the Bay gets, there is always room for a big, warm hug.
